Welcome to Blackburn Primary School

A very warm welcome to our website, I hope that it provides you with useful information about the school and the fantastic opportunities we offer our children.

We are located on the Rotherham/Sheffield border, close to the Meadowhall shopping complex and we cater for children from the ages of 3-11. We have a fantastic site with plenty of space both outside and inside for our children to experience many different learning opportunities.

Blackburn is a very welcoming school, with children who are keen learners and staff who are committed to helping every child achieve their potential. We are aiming for excellence and all staff, children, parents and governors share this whole school vision. We want our children to be happy and enjoy their work whilst achieving the best that they can. We strongly believe that every child matters and have high hopes and high aspirations for all our children.

As shown in our vision, we strive hard to provide children with the key skills that will help them with every aspect of their life. We believe in children working together, supporting and challenging each other to do better, and our curriculum is designed to include projects that help children learn new skills and apply them creatively.

If you would like to look around our school you will be very welcome, please contact the school office for an appointment and I look forward to meeting you.

Headteacher

Pupils are proud of their school and feel they have fun when learning. Pupils' attitudes to learning are strong and they are keen to do well, which contributes to the good progress they make.
