School meals

School meals, which offer a wide range of choices, are cooked on the premises and are served by means of a "cafeteria system".

We appreciate all dinner money being paid on a Monday morning, as this allows us to predict the number of meals required during the week and facilitates easy banking. Dinner money should be brought in an envelope marked with the child’s name, class and amount.

Children are allowed to bring sandwiches and these must be eaten in the dining room.

Children can bring their own drinks but these must be still drinks and must not be in cans, glass bottles or thermos flasks.  Children are encouraged to bring a bottle of water for use during lessons. This is proved to aid concentration and help to raise attainment.

Meal times are properly supervised and the children are expected to be well behaved.

Children who stay for meals or sandwiches are not allowed off the premises without the Head Teacher's permission.

Current dinner menus can be downloaded here.  Children order their choice of meal at the start of the school day.  At lunchtime they are given a coloured band corresponding to the choice made.  There are four options available:

  • Red- main meat option
  • Yellow - vegetarian option
  • Green - jacket potato
  • Blue - chilled choice of sandwich or wrap (offered with hot potatoes and vegetables as shown on the menus)
